This poor Owl flew from tree to tree for about 30 minutes trying to escape the aerial assault of about 12 Blue Jays. Finally they escorted him out of the yard and there was silence once again. Click on Photos to Enlarge.

She is sleeping in the same hole that just 10 days ago I photographed 3 Baby Eastern Grey Squirrels. She nested here last Spring raising one Owlet.

Lake Ivanhoe is located a few blocks from my Home. I have never seen White Pelicans there previously. (03/24/2010 I was driving by Lake Ivanhoe this morning at 10:15 AM and 12 White Pelicans were departing, flying East over the Lake. I doubt they will return any time soon. Click on Photo to Enlarge.

Most of the Robins are gone. We had so very many this Winter. It was nice to see a few in Mead Garden today. Last Spring an Eastern Screech Owl raised a Chick in this same nest. Click on Photos to Enlarge.

Photographed at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Florida on March 16, 2010. The only ducks I saw were a Male & Female Northern Shoveler and Blue-winged Teals. It seems all the migrating ducks have started their journey North. I did see about 50 Lesser Scaups as I left the Refuge just before the Titusville Bridge. […]
