Vermillion Flycatcher #1

Vermillion Flycatcher #1

Photographed on February 20, 2012 in Orlando Wetlands Park, Christmas, Florida. Orlando Wetlands Park is a must-see if you are in Florida to see Birds or enjoy Nature.

Two Males were first seen in mid-November. The park was closed to the public at that time and re-opened on February 01, 2012. The two Flycatchers are several hundred yards away from each other. This is the first Vermillion Flycatcher in the NW corner of Cell #17. The second Flycatcher is about a quarter of a mile East. These birds are very rare for Central Florida. They are normally found in Mexico and along the U.S. – Mexican border in the SW U.S.
