I photographed this Great Horned Owl in Mead Garden, Winter Park, Florida on Tuesday September 21, 2021. I received a text from Bob S. soon after I arrived in the park alerting me that the Owl was perched high in a tree and the local birds were very upset. At least two Red-shouldered Hawks and 2-3 American Crows were taking turns dive-bombing the Hawk making as much noise as they could as the Owl tried to get some rest. This is only the second GHOW I’ve seen in Mead Garden in 16 my years of Birding.
